ReadyDesk version 8.5 has been released and is available for download today. This latest version has some great new features. Be sure and check out the new online demos and download the updated user manual. Below is a short list of some of the enhancements in this release:
Billing History: Billable jobs now include the technician ID of the technician that created it, allowing you to keep an audit trail of billable jobs.
New calendar fields: Date fields have been updated with a new calendar icon and features, creating consistency in date formats.
Style updates: Many of the style elements in ReadyDesk has been updated. Font sizes have been increased from 8pt to 9pt. This makes the text easier to read at higher resolutions and in browsers that have blurry text at lower sizes. Frame sizes were adjusted accordingly. Many other small visual elements were refined for consistency.
Personal task calendar: The personal task calendar, which is opened from the top frame, has been completely redesigned, so it is easier to add, edit and view your personal tasks.
ESC key: All pop-up layers and windows in the technician interface now close when hitting the ESC key, even if they have been popped-out to a separate browser window.
Custom Fields: There is now the option to add custom fields to the main ticket tab in the technician interface when adding/editing them from the admin console. Custom fields added to the main ticket tab will appear to the right of the Summary field. This is useful if you want a quick view of certain custom fields and your screen resolution currently has blank space on the right side.
Rich News Articles: We have added rich text editors to the News add/edit pages for easily developing rich HTML content.
